Carnew Claim Allianz Camogie Cup
It was a beautiful day in Ballinakill as 8 teams took part in the Allianz Camogie Cup on 25th May. In Division 1 schools represented included Carnew, Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath 1, Kilcoole and St Peter's. Carnew came out as winners on the day and Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath 1 as runners up. In Division 2 schools represented included Aughrim, Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath 2, Rathdrum and Scoil Chulann. It was Aughrim who came out on top and Avondale as runners up. A huge thank you to the parents and teachers who brought the children down. They are setting a good example in promoting Camogie in Wicklow. A special thanks also to Conor Daly and the referees on the day. We are already looking forward to next year's Camogie events.
