Rounders Training Course a Great Success
There were 16 teachers in attendance at a Rounders training course held on the 29th April in Rathnew AFC. The basic rules were discussed and information was given on the pitch layout, the fielding versus batting end of the game. The teachers played some small sided games before everyone getting a turn to bat and field in a larger game. It was a productive afternoon as a group was set up so questions could be asked of those who play, as well as a forum to organise small games between neighbouring schools, with the long-term goal of organising a schools’ blitz in the future.
