Girls Get Things Going in Sunny Bray
The first event on the Cumann na mBunscol calendar of this school year was the Allianz Girls Football Participation Day Blitz. It took place on the 19th September in Bray Emmets GAA Club and was for 5th and 6th class girls. It was a perfect day for football and the girls put on a fine show of skills, the emphasis of which was on point scoring, in the sunshine. Thanks to Bray Emmets for the use of their grounds, Dave Barry for his help on the day and the TY students and teachers who refereed.
Participating schools: St Pat’s Wicklow (2 teams), St. Coens (2 teams), St. Patrick’s Bray (2 teams), Ashford (2 teams), Kilmac (2 teams), Holy Rosary (2 teams), Greystones Community National School, Nuns Cross, Wicklow ETNS, St. Peter’s, Ravenswell, Greystones ETNS (2 teams), Newtown (3 teams), Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh (3 teams), St. Laurence’s (3 teams), St. Fergal’s (3 teams), Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath (2 teams) and St. Kevin’s.
