Super Turnout at Boys’ Football Blitz in Bray
On September 26th, Bray Emmets hosted an exciting boys' football participation blitz, featuring 18 schools and a total of 35 teams. The schools involved were: St. Laurence’s, St. Cronan’s, Kilmac, Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath, St. Pat’s, Gaelscoil Chill Mhantáin, Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh, St. Kevin’s, Greystones Educate Together, Nun’s Cross, Holy Rosary, St. Fergal’s, Ashford, Newtown, St. Peter’s, Ravenswell, Greystones Community National School, Wicklow Educate Together, St. Brigid’s, and St. Coen’s.
The event was marked by brilliant skills on display, with players demonstrating exceptional teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the matches. Participants and spectators alike were delighted by the favourable weather, as the day remained dry, adding to the overall enjoyment. It was a fantastic celebration of youth football, fostering camaraderie and healthy competition among the schools involved. Thanks to Bray Emmets for the use of their grounds, Dave Barry for setting up the pitches and the TY students who refereed.
