Camogie the Winner on the Day
The first camogie event on the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol calendar of this school year was the Allianz Camogie blitz. It took place on the 3rd October in Bray Emmets GAA Club.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day of camogie. Over a hundred girls from seven schools took to the field. Each school played up to 4 games on the day. The games were played in great spirit and were an enjoyable watch for all spectators. There was a fantastic display of team work in each match. The coaching in clubs and schools is evident with the level of skill that was on display in the games. Ní neart go cur le chéile. Thank you to Bray Emmets for the use of their grounds, Dave Barry and Conor Daly for their help on the day. Also, a big thank you to all the teachers who attended and helped out on the day. Participating schools: St Laurence’s (4 teams), Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath (3 teams), St. Brigid’s (2 teams), St Joseph’s Glenealy (1 team), Gaelscoil Uí Cheadaigh (2 teams), Greystones ETNS (2 teams), and Scoil Chualann (1 team).
