3rd and 4th Class Boys’ Hurling Blitz – 21st January – Bray Emmets
The boys' hurling participation blitz for 3rd & 4th will take place on Tuesday 21st January at 10.30am in Bray Emmets GAA Club.
This was down in the calendar as an indoor blitz but owing to logistics and the success of our 1st and 2nd class blitz, we have opted for an outdoor venue.
Matches will be 8 a-side but can be adjusted depending on the numbers of both teams.
We kindly ask schools to arrive 15 minutes earlier in order to start the blitz at 10:30am

Please let Brendan Doyle, Hurling Officer, know via WhatsApp (086 0782403) or alternatively by email brendandoyle8@hotmail.com by 6pm on Thursday 16th January if your school will be in attendance and, if so, how many teams you will be sending. Each school can bring a maximum of 3 teams. Can teachers also let him know what level their teams are at and if they are lining out their teams mixed or having a strong/weaker team, etc.
Exact details and fixtures will be sent the day before the blitz once we have all the teams that are participating.
Please note Allianz Cumann na mBunscol blitzes are all teacher-led events - team mentors must make themselves available to referee games. We also ask all schools to assist with tidying up pitches at the end of the blitz i.e. goals moved to side-lines, poles and cones collected and returned to container by the astro.
Schools must be registered with Cumann na mBunscol to participate in blitzes and events. Please let Brendan know if you need to register and we will arrange that for you.
****IMPORTANT – HURLEYS SHOULD HAVE NO METAL BANDS****
No player can participate in the matches if using a metal band on their hurl. All metal bands must be taped over.
School mentors are asked to check hurleys are clear of metal bands (or are taped) before the blitz starts. Any questions or queries please don't hesitate to send Brendan a message.
