Mol an Óige Agus Tiocfaidh sí – Infants’ Introduction to Gaelic Games in Aughrim

A really successful day was held in Aughrim Community Hall on the 27th February for Junior and Senior Infants to introduce them to Gaelic games. Activities included catching and kicking using balloons, dribbling the ball around objects, kicking off a marker/from the hands with a bounce, negotiating an obstacle course, running/evading using th ‘stuck in the mud’ game and holding a hurley using the correct grip, striking, catching and throwing a sliotar. The boys and girls had great fun and really enjoyed their day. Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí!
Participating schools included Tinahely, Kilcommon, Laragh, Bearna Chlé, Aughrim, Crossbridge and St. Saviour’s.
