Allianz Sports Day - Meeting, Information and Registration; and AGM

This year’s Sports Day meeting and AGM will take place on Wednesday 28th May in the Parkview Hotel, Newtown at 6 p.m. It is imperative that any school participating in Sports Day 2025 is represented at this meeting.

 

The entry fee of €50 must be returned at (or prior to) this meeting!

1.     The meeting will deal with the organisation of the sports day. 

2.     School participants’ numbers will be handed out.

3.     Jobs will be allocated to ALL schools.

*Due to the large number of schools taking part, for this to be a successful event and in the interest of fairness, it is essential that each participating school be represented and take responsibility for a job.

 

N.B. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED DUE TO THE RESTRICTED NUMBER OF LANES IN THE VENUE.

What:    Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Sports Day

Where:  Charlesland Sports and Recreation Park, Greystones

When:   Wednesday 11th June at 10 a.m. sharp.

 

Points to Note

Video Recordings: Video recordings of races and events will not be accepted. The judges’ decision will be final.

Grievances: Any grievances that arise are to be directed to the school’s own sports day co-ordinator. As teachers, we are all volunteers on the day!

 

To ensure the continued success of Sports Day - schools should be mindful of their responsibilities towards:

·      

providing an adequate number of helper/volunteers on the day (who are Garda Vetted - this is a must!!), those with a knowledge of athletics would be very welcome

·      

taking charge of a job/role

·      

ensuring the safety and supervision of your pupils throughout the day

·      

tidying up litter, deck chairs, tents, etc. when the event is over
