1st & 2nd Class Hurling/Camogie Blitz a Roaring Success!
A fantastic atmosphere filled Bray Emmets GAA grounds on Wednesday, May 21st, as 200 young players took part in a hugely successful hurling/camogie blitz. Across 15 pitches, a total of 70 games were played with great spirit and skill.
27 teams from Greystones Community N.S., Greystones Educate Together N.S., St. Patrick’s N.S. (Wicklow Town), Nuns Cross N.S., Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh, St. Peter’s N.S., and Ravenswell Primary School, competed in the basking sun with enthusiasm and energy throughout the day.
The games were 6-a-side, ability based with a mix of boys and girls, ensuring maximum enjoyment and inclusivity for all participants.
Well done to all the teachers, coaches and volunteers who helped make the day a memorable experience for all the boys and girls. Thanks to Bray Emmets for the use of their pitches and to Dave Barry for all his work getting the pitches ready.
