Boys’ Allianz Autumn Hurling League

For the hurling this year we followed the same format as last year. Instead of the traditional style leagues we had blitz type competitions. These were run on a league format with the matches in each division taking place over two days. Each team played all the other teams in the division. The games were 9 a-side, panel of 12 with no age limit.

Division 1 games were played on Bray Emmet’s pitches on Wed 19^th  September   and Thursday 4^th October 2012.

Division 2 games were played on Bray Emmet’s pitches on Thurs, 20^th  and  27^th September 2012.

Twelve schools took part this year, with about 170 young hurlers showing their skills and talents. These young hurlers showed great sportsmanship and did themselves and their schools proud.  Maith sibh!

All the games were eagerly contested with St. Patrick’s  emerging as Division 1 winners and Newtown emerging as Division 2 winners. Comhgháirdeachas.              .
