Crossbridge and Aughrim are Indoor Hurling Champs!

Crossbridge National School in Tinahely have become All County Indoor hurling champions after winning the final played in Aughrim Community grounds. This has been  a fantastic year for this very small school in Tinahely having already captured the Allianz Coughlan Cup for South Schools in football. With last year’s winners Glenealy N.S. already knocked out Crossbridge N.S. remained unbeaten all through the tournament and received the gold medals. Baltinglass N.S. were the surprise team finishing runners up and receiving the silver medals. The two other schools in the finals were Newtown N.S. and Rathdrum B. N.S.

Aughrim N.S. won the B final and they also received the gold medals with Dunlavin N.S. receiving the Silver medals after beating Roundwood N.S in a sudden death playoff. All the games were refereed excellently by Mr.Ciaran Gaskin.
