O’Kelly Cup Girls’ Indoor Football
The O’Kelly Cup Girls’ Football Indoor Blitz took place in Loughlinstown Leisure Centre on 31st January. The emphasis on the day was on having fun and taking part! There was a big attendance with eight schools competing and some even entering two teams ensuring the three courts were a hive of activity for the two hours! The games were played 7-a-side for 7 minutes ,they were very fast paced and full of skill! Well done to Kilcoole, Kilmacanogue, Newtownmountkennedy, Scoil Chualann, St. Kevin’s Greystones, St. Laurences Roundwood, St. Patricks Bray and St. Fergal’s Bray for a fantastic day! Thanks to those who helped in the refereeing of the games! The next girls’ competition will be Day 2 of the Wicklow Times’ Shield which will take place on February 20th in Roundwood.
