Wicklow Times Shield Day 2
The Wicklow Times Shield Day 2 for Girls’ Football took place in Roundwood on Wednesday 20th January. There was another huge turnout on the day and well done to all the schools who took part and braved the cold conditions! In attendance were St. Laurence’s’ Roundwood, Gaelscoil an Inbhir Mhóir, Holy Rosary Wicklow, St. Laurence’s Greystones, St.Fergal’s Bray, St. Patrick’s’ Bray, St. Kevins’ Greystones, Kilcoole, Newtownmountkennedy, St. Josephs Templerainey, Moneystown, Kilmacanogue and St. Brigid’s Greystones.
The teams were graded according to the results on Day 1 which ensured Day 2 was a very lively and competitive affair! Many of the group winners and runners up couldn’t be divided by points and in the end scoring difference had to be looked at! Each group was also awarded an ‘Imreoir den Scoth’ , this gave the referees a really hard task in choosing!
Well done to our winners on the day:
