Great turn out at Day 1 of Allianz Coughlan Competition
Allianz Coughlan Competition
Day 1 of the Allianz Coughlan competition was held in Bray Emmets on Wednesday 6th November. The day turned out a little damp but spirits weren’t dampened in any way! This was a general blitz day and teams got lots of football. There was a great display of skill and sportsmanship. There was a great turnout of twenty teams. Well done to all schools who participated – St. Cronan’s, Moneystown, Gaelscoil na gClocha Liath, St. Kevin’s, Gaelscoil Ui Cheadaigh, Roundwood, Kilmac, Rathdrum, St. Brigid’s, St. Pat’s, Kilcoole, St. Peter’s, Gaelscoil Wicklow, Newtown and Scoil Chualann. Day 2 will be held next Wednesday 13th November in Bray Emmets beginning at 11. Teams will be graded in divisions based on Day 1 and winners will be awarded in each division. Thanks to Garrett Doyle and Dave Barry for their organisation, to all the referees and to Bray Emmets for the use of their fine facilities.
