Moneystown’s Involvement in the Coughlan Cup

On the 19th of October, twelve boys and girls went to Kilcoole to play in Cumann na mBunscol Gaelic football blitz. We played Gaelscoil Ui Cheadaigh from Bray, St. Brigid’s from Greystones, Saint Patricks from Curtlestown and Aughrim N.S. and with some fantastic performances from Moneystown N.S. we won 2, lost 1 and drew 1. Our team showed great spirit and our top scorers were Dylan Graham and Gavin Fogarty.
We came 3rd in our group and narrowly lost out on winning a trophy.
We had 12 players on our panel: Greg McHugh, Daniel Sheahan, Anna Doyle, John Kavanagh, Patrick Nixon, Lisa Fogarty, Niall Gaffney, Danielle Singleton, Sean Byrne, Mikey Ahearne, Gavin Fogarty and Dylan Graham.
We would like to thank the parents who gave lifts to the team and for supporting us. Thanks to Lisa and Gavin’s mom and Sean Byrne’s mom also.
