Young whistlers at indoor blitz for 3rd and 4th

There was an indoor blitz for boys in 3rd and 4th class in Loughlinstown Leisure Centre on Wednesday, 21st January. This was a non competitive blitz where all boys were encouraged to participate and enjoy playing Gaelic football. The boys got a few games each, they all played in every position and got a great chance to show off their skills. It was a most enjoyable day and well done to all who participated. It was the first time in Wicklow that we used young whistlers. Two boys, Jake Ryan and Ben O'Neill, both from 6th class in Kilcoole Primary School refereed the mini games. They did an excellent job and are great leaders for the younger boys. Thanks to Dave Barry for all his organisation and to Loughlinstown Leisure Centre for the use of their fine facilities. Schools that attended the blitz: Kilcoole Primary School, St Brigids, Scoil Chualann, St Peters, St Fergals, St Laurence's, St Cronans, St Kevin's and Gaelscoil Ui Cheadaigh.
