3rd & 4th Class Girls Football Wicklow Times Participation Day
The first Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Girls Blitz for 3rd / 4th Classes of the 2016/2017 calendar year took place in Bray Emmetts GAA Pitch this past Wednesday the 5th October. On a glorious autumnal day we had 12 schools in attendance, 16 teams in total, which was a fantastic turn out of schools. 8 pitches in total were in use at any one time. The schools that attended the blitz were; Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh, Rathdrum N.S. Scoil Chulann, St. Kevin’s Greystones, St. Laurence’s Greystones, St. Brigid’s Greystones, Roundwood N.S. Moneystown N.S. St. Fergal’s Bray, Gaelscoil Chill Mháintáin, Kilcoole N.S. Newtown N.S. & Educate Together Greystones.
Many thanks to the teachers who brought their pupils to the blitz. Also thank you to the referees for helping to referee the games & to Bray Emmets for opening their facilities to Allianz Cumann na mBunscol.
The next activity on the girl’s calendar this year will be ‘The Wicklow Times Participation Day for 5th & 6th Class Girls’ on the 19th October. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
