Huge Turnout at Allianz 3rd and 4th Class Boys Football Participation Days

Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Cill Mhantain played host to 2 excellent days of Gaelic Football blitzes on 12th and 13th of October in Bray Emmets GAA. A huge turnout of schools ensured lots of action and excitement. The Allianz Cumann na mBunscol participation blitzes are proving to be very popular with the schools with many fielding multiple teams. Each school receives 2 footballs for participating which can only aid the excellent coaching already being provided by the teachers. Over 200 boys displayed superb skills and effort over the 2 days leading one to believe the future is bright for Wicklow GAA. Thanks to all the teachers on the day and to the Young Whistlers Lewi and Charlotte from Kilcoole NS, Patrick and Cathal from Scoil Chualann and Dara and Mohammad from Newtownmountkennedy NS for officiating at the matches. A special mention to Liam McGraynor, Daire Lohan, John Henderson, Garrett Doyle, Gary McGillycuddy and Tara Walshe for their assistance in the organisation of the blitz.

Wednesday Teams: St Cronan's 1 and 2, St Fergal's 1 and 2, Scoil Chualann, St Peter's Bray, St Laurence's 1 and 2 and 3, St Kevin's Greystones, Roundwood 1 and 2, Gaelscoil ui Cheadaigh, Newtown NS, Kilcoole NS, St Patrick's Boys Wicklow 1 and 2.

Thursday Teams: Gaelscoil Cloch Liath 1 and 2 and 3, Gaelscoil Cill Mhantain 1 and 2, Moneystown NS, St Patrick's Curtlestown, St Brigid's Greystones and Ashford NS.
