This Week Was the Turn of the Girls - O’Kelly Cup - Indoor Girls Football
Indoor football tournaments were held these past two weeks for girls in 3rd and 4th Class. The emphasis in these competitions was on participation and sport for all. There was no age limit and it was 7 a-side. The teams that played last week were Newtownmountkennedy, Kilcoole, St Laurence's, Greystones Educate Together, Gaelscoil Ui Cheadaigh and St Patrick's Wicklow Town. The schools that played this week were Scoil Chualann, St Kevin's, St Brigid's, St Fergal's, Gaelscoil Cill Mhantain and Gaelscoil Cloch Liath. Well done to all who took part and to the young whistlers who refereed. The girls were active for the whole time they were there, playing games non-stop. Their skills really improved as the games went on. Super job to all!
