Sports Day Meeting and Online Registration
This year’s Sports Day meeting will take place on 7th June at 8.00 p.m. in Newtownmountkennedy Primary School. It is imperative that any school participating in Sports Day 2018 is represented and the entry fee of €50 must be returned at this meeting.
This meeting will deal with the organisation of the sports day.
School participants’ numbers will be handed out.
Jobs will be allocated to ALL schools.
Due to the large number of schools taking part, for this to be a successful event, and in the interest of fairness, it is essential that each participating school be represented and takes responsibility for a job.
N.B. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED DUE TO THE RESTRICTED NUMBER OF LANES IN THE VENUE.
As in previous years we are using the online system for registration. This MUST be done before the meeting on June 7th.

Sports Day
This year’s Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Sports Day will take place in Charlesland Sport and Recreation Park, Greystones on Wednesday 13thJune at 10 a.m. sharp. There are strict age limits for Sports Day.
Sports Day Rules
**EACH SCHOOL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SUPERVISION AND SAFETY OF THEIR OWN PARTICIPANTS AND SUPPORTERS**

N.B. Running shoes must be worn for all track events. No football boots, spikes or running shoes with spikes removed are permitted for these track events.

Competitors must be under 8, 9, etc. on January 1st 2018
·
Long Puck, Long Kick, Long Jump and Ball Throw contests for girls are separate from boys.
·
In the Long Kick event the ball is kicked from a dead ball position or from hand. Distance wins.
·
In the Long Puck event the ball is hit from the hands or from the ground. Distance wins. Helmets must be worn.
·
Competitors may have three attempts in these events.
·
In section 1 (Track) a competitor may compete in 1 event and the relay race.
·
In section 2 (Field) a competitor may compete in 1 event only.
·
A competitor may not compete in both sections.
·
Medals will be presented after each final.
·
Each school is responsible for their own litter. Please bring litterbags.
