Super Sunshine and Skills at Allianz Boys Coughlan Cup
This year's Allianz Coughlan Cup took place on a sunny Friday 18th May in Bray Emmets' GAA Grounds. There were some great games and fantastic football on show. Schools in Division 1 included St. Kevin’s 1, St. Coen’s, St. Cronan’s 1 and St. Laurence’s 1; in Division 2 the schools included St. Cronan’s 2, Gaelscoil Chill Mhantáin, St. Brigids, St. Pat’s and St. Kevin’s 2; in Division 3 the schools included Newtown, St. Fergal’s, St. Laurence’s 2, Moneystown and Kilcoole. Thanks to referees, teachers, parents who travelled but most importantly to each and every player who participated and showed wonderful skill and sportsmanship on the day. Thanks to Bray Emmets for the use of their facilities and to Gary McGillycuddy for his efforts in organising the event. Division 1 winners were St. Laurence’s with St. Cronan’s as runners up; Division 2 winners were Gaelscoil Chill Mhantáin with St. Pat’s as runners up and Division 3 winners were Kilcoole with Newtown as runners up.
