North East Fixtures List 2022-2023

Welcome back to the start of another school year.  Let’s hope it’s a happy, healthy and successful one. We have an exciting calendar of events planned for 2022 – 2023 and are looking forward to it.  Well done to those who represented the Garden County in Croke Park during the summer, what an amazing achievement, you should be very proud of yourselves.

North East Fixtures List 2022-2023

Registration and County AGM

This will take place on the 14^th September at 4 p.m. in Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa, Laragh where schools can register for North-East, South and West Allianz Cumann na mBunscol activities.  The cost for the 2022-2023 school year is €50.  Schools must attend the AGM and must be registered to play. Light refreshments will be provided.

22^nd September at 11.45 a.m. in Bray GAA grounds – Girls’ football blitz, nine-a-side and no age limit.  Points only

Young Whistlers Course (Football)

28^th September in Kilcoole Primary School at 3.30 p.m.

Allianz Participation Day (5^th and 6^th Class Boys Football)

29^th September at 11.45 a.m. in Bray GAA grounds – Boys’ football blitz, nine-a-side and no age limit. Points only

Allianz Camogie League Day         

6^th October at 11.45 a.m. in Bray GAA grounds.  Nine-a-side and no age limit. 

Boys’ Allianz Hurling Blitz Day     

13^th October - at 11.45 a.m. in Bray GAA grounds.  Nine-a-side and no age limit.

Term Two

Focus on Indoor Blitzes are participation-based

Hurling Young Whistlers Course Thursday 19^th January. Venue to be confirmed.

(3^rd / 4^th Class) Indoor Boys/Girls’ Hurling/Camogie Blitz

19^th, 26^th January Venue to be confirmed.

Indoor hurling tournament for boys and girls in 3^rd and 4^th Class. 6^th Class.  Young Whistlers can used. These are not mixed boys/girls teams.

The emphasis in this competition is on participation and sport for all, 7 a-side.

Schools will attend on 1 of these days. Please let us know if you cannot attend on 1 of these days.

Indoor Camogie/Hurling (1^st/2^nd Class)

Thursday 23^rd February Venue to be confirmed.  Young Whistlers welcome.

2^nd March Bray Emmets        

Eleven-a-side and no age limit at 11.45 a.m.

Points only, goalkeeper. 3 points for a point, 1 point for a goal. 

Girls’ Wicklow Times Shield Day 1

9^th March at 11.45 a.m. in Bray – 9 a-side

Goalkeeper, points worth 3, goals worth 1 point

Boys’ Football Allianz Coughlan Cup Day 2

Eleven-a-side. This is a competitive competition. Full rules apply.

Girls’ Wicklow Times Shield Day 2

30^th March at 11.45 a.m. in Bray Emmets – 9 a-side.  This is a competitive competition. Full rules.

INTO Skills Challenge        

(Two pupils per school may participate in each discipline - Boys’ and Girls’ Football, Camogie and Hurling.)

Regional events will take place on the week of 13^th March (on the Mon/Tue/Wed) and those selected will go forward to a county selection day which will be held on the week of the 20^th March (on the Mon/Tue/Wed) in Ballinakill. 

Credit Union Cup (Hurling)           

18^th May at 11.45 a.m. (Venue to be confirmed). One day boys’ nine-a-side hurling blitz.  Competitive based games.

Allianz Camogie Day           

25^th May at 11.45 a.m. (Venue to be confirmed).  One day girls’ nine-a-side camogie blitz.  Competitive based games

Sports Day Meeting             

Wednesday 31^st May at 8.00 p.m. in Newtownmountkennedy Primary School

It is imperative that any school participating in Sports Day 2023 is represented at this meeting.
