3rd and 4th Class Boys Put On Great Displays in Bray and Aughrim

Body:

3rd and 4th Class Spirits High in Bray

Nerves were frayed on Thursday 27th October as 3rd and 4th class boys across North East Wicklow crossed their fingers. Teachers checked weather apps and nervously scanned the skies. Would the much-anticipated 3rd and 4th class boys' blitz get the green light? Thankfully the weather cleared just enough over Bray Emmets GAA club to allow for what would prove to be a fantastic day of football.  The boys certainly didn't waste the opportunity once the green light was given. Fabulous displays of skill, team work and a great sense of fun were evident throughout the day.  Huge thanks to Bray Emmets for hosting the event and to retired teacher Dave Barry for setting up the pitches. We are also very grateful to the young referees and Young Whistlers who helped to keep things running in a friendly and helpful manner.

Participating teams: St. Peter’s Bray, St. Cronan’s Bray (2), Kilmacanogue NS (3), Kilcoole, Scoil na Coroine Mhuire Ashford (2), Gaelscoil na Clocha Liath (2), Greystones Educate Together (2), Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh, Holy Rosary Wicklow, St. Bridget’s Greystones, Greystones CNS, Roundwood (2) and St Laurences (2).
