Silky Skills on Show at 5th and 6th Class Girls Allianz Football Participation Blitz
Last Thursday the rescheduled Girl's Football Participation Blitz for 5th & 6th class took place in Bray Emmets GAA club. In attendance were 27 teams coming from 15 different primary schools - almost 300 girls! The Blitz was a great promotion of Girls Football and highlights the popularity of the game - well done to all in attendance. The schools that participated were Newtownmountkennedy PS, Kilcoole PS, St Brigid’s, St Kevin’s, St Patrick’s Wicklow Town, Greystones Community NS, St Peter’s, Scoil na Coroine Mhuire Ashford, Ravenswell, St Laurence’s, Kilmacanogue NS, Greystones ETNS, Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh, Gaelscoil na gCloch Liath and Holy Rosary Wicklow Town. Each team played 3/4 games with a wide range of skills on display. There was a lovely atmosphere of teamwork and fair-play that contributed to an excellent day for all participating children.
