Roundwood Claim 1st Place at the Allianz Tráth na gCeist
The annual Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Tráth na gCeist took place in Lynham's Hotel in Laragh on the 7th of November. It was a great night with a good turnout of schools. In 1st place came St. Laurence O’Toole, Roundwood; in 2nd place came Kilcoole Primary School and in 3rd place came St. Pat’s Wicklow. Well done to everyone who participated, the standard was very high.
Young Journalists Reporting on the Tráth na gCeist
On the 7th of November, our school took part in the Tráth na gCeist table quiz in Lynham’s Hotel in Laragh. There were twenty-three teams from 11 schools competing. In the quiz, there were eight rounds of ten questions. On the night, there were many prizes to be won in a raffle such as a Gaelic ball and lifestyle sports vouchers. There were many different interesting questions like, how many letters are there in Newtownmountkennedy and what is the capital of Turkey. In third place was our team St Patrick's N.S 1 with 67 points. In second were Kilcoole PS 1 with 68 points. In first place were St Laurence OToole’s 2, from Roundwood, with 69 points. Everyone had a great night and we were very well looked after by all helping with the quiz.
